MAGIC OF HERBS

This course takes you away from the screen and puts you in touch with nature: the garden, field, or park next door. Become a do-it-yourself herbalist and explore the use of traditional plants in magic, food and medicine.
Your kitchen may become a laboratory, brimming with teas, root stews, tinctures, ointments and incense. Includes much fertile ground to share lore, recipes & practical applications.

Week 1
Earth / Roots:
Grounding herbs, connecting with plant allies, interspecies communication, harvesting roots for medicine

Week 2
Water / Leaves:
Nurturing herbs, lunar herbs and cycles, cooling herbs, do-it-yourself teas, decoctions and soups, juice

Week 3
Fire / Fruit:
Energizing, warming herbs, incense, charcoal, space clearing, smudging, moxa, resin, smoke & ashes, agnihotra ceremony

Week 4
Air / Blossoms:
Herbs for prana, love medicine, do-it-yourself salves, oils & aphrodisiacs, flower essences, homeopathy, pheromones

Week 5
Alchemy:
Kitchen magic, favorite tools of the trade, amulets & talismans, essential oils, tincture making

Week 6
Spirit:
Visionary or psychoactive herbs and their use in magic & shamanism. Plant Spirit Medicine
